Entrepreneurship for
Women-led Initiatives

iStarter Hub is a social enterprise that is passionate about youth and women empowerment through training, peer-to-peer networking and mentorship especially.

iStarter Hub provides a safe space for young women and girls to access resources that enable their creative expressions. This space provides an enabling environment for young women to meet, work, learn and collaborate while ensuring that they become young entrepreneurs leveraging new technologies.

iStarter Hub was founded in 2016 and registered under the Nigerian Federal law in August 2016.

Straight Outta School

The Straight Outta School Project is an initiative that seeks to introduce young girls who just graduated (or are about to graduate) secondary school to technological skills.

It aims at empowering out-of-school girls between the ages of 15 – 19 years with relevant technological skills and resources that will give them a head start in pursuing their future careers.

Empower Her

The Empower Her program is designed to help women with small businesses channel the power of information technology in growing their small enterprises.

Through this program, these women get to understand the use of information technology and its resources and how it affects their daily lives – family, career, business and finances.

Girls Creativity Hub

The “Girls Creativity Hub” initiative is an intensive Creative Designing, Entrepreneurship and  Leadership skills acquisition program that would see out-of-school girls and unemployed young women between the ages of 16 -25 years engaged productively.

After the three-month-long program, 100 young women would have learnt to put their creative minds into creating jobs in the Graphics Designing and Printing Technology Space and go on to start their businesses using the skills they have acquired.

Tech For Her

Tech for Her is an advocacy program that creates awareness for more young women to leverage the power of information technology for everyday living, which translates to a more productive life.

Her Marketplace

Her Marketplace is an online marketplace that connects program beneficiaries’ products and services to the marketplace and their customers locally and internationally.

This online marketplace assures ease of doing business for our young women, giving them the opportunity of having direct access to the market place and meeting real needs at a very reduced cost.

With the creativity and vocational training going on at iStarter Hub, the beneficiaries get to showcase their products on the iStarter Hub online marketplace, thereby linking them directly to customers.
